Hi! I'm Rikki.
I'm a life long dog owner and have been lucky enough to be a professional dog walker since 2014. I love nothing more than enjoying the company of the pooches in the great outdoors. I am passionate about dog welfare and always aim to provide a service which is second to none for both my human and canine clients.
I invest time and energy in continued professional development to ensure that I am in the best position possible to take care of my client's pets. I am Canine First Aid trained, fully insured and have undertaken dog body language training to enable me to better understand the dogs in my care and any others we may meet on our adventures.
The dogs happiness and safety is central to everything I do. My service is tailored to ensure that I give the dogs in my care a wonderful experience each and every day.
I am open and honest and I pride myself on ensuring my human clients can rest easy that their pooch is in safe hands. You are welcome to come and join me on a walk so that you can get to know me better and see for yourself how I work with the dogs I spend my days with!
THE NEED TO KNOWS!
The unregulated dog walking industry is a minefield for owners, please don't hesitate to ask me as many questions as you'd like. Here are some need to knows to get started!
HOW IS MY DOG PICKED UP FOR DAYCARE?
I take the safety and comfort of the dogs in my care very seriously. I collect in a fully air-conditioned vehicle and all dogs are separated during travel for their safety. Every dog has access to water whilst they are travelling and each crate has either a cool mat or vet bedding for their comfort.
My vehicle is not branded and the windows are tinted so that the dogs are not visible to the public. The tinted windows have the added benefit of helping to keep the dogs cool during the summer months!
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU CARE FOR AT ONCE?
I choose to look after a maximum of four dogs at any one time. I am thoughtful about which dogs I match together and ensure that all of the dogs in any group are happy in each others company.
Being in a group set up is not for all dogs and I will always be open and honest if I feel that it is not working for your dog.
WHO WILL BE TAKING CARE OF MY DOG?
Me! I don't have a team of walkers or contractors so I will be your dogs person when they are not with you! You will meet me prior to booking any services, as will your pooch.
I offer a very personal service, since I look after such a small group of dogs I know them all very well, and vice versa!
